Just back from a 20 mile each way trip to get some patio slabs from SWMBO nieces house (for onward transport to sis in law's in a day or two). As I set off there was an 'orrible rattle coming from the back of the landy, checked usual stuff like the slidy back windows, nothing loose. Set off again thinking maybe the exhaust was clanging off the rear axle due to the load and hoping it wouldn't drop off before I got home. 5 miles from home and realised it was the stack of slabs that were rattling .
Were they stacked on their edges or flat?:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Hope they all survived!!!;)

Flat stacked. No damage, it would take a sledge hammer to break them. As it was, they had a nice gentle rolls royce type journey in the back of my ferrari- in-overalls.
Phew, relieved to hear it.:):):)
In the past we transported boxes and boxes of tiles, etc to France in an unsprung, well not very well sprung, trailer. (Indespension)
I always stacked them on their edges wrapped up in a mattress and with ratchet straps round them to tighten the whole package together.
They made the 550 mile journey intact.:):)
But obvs wall tiles etc are much more fragile.
Slabs delivered to us by Froggies were always stacked on their edges too, on pallets wrapped in plastic. But they too were more fragile; we broke a couple by dropping them onto ornery earth and similar.

....according to the news there are only 3 Dorset dentists' surgeries taking on NHS patients.:(:(:(
Glad we got on their books before all this.
But in further news the Dorset Knob Throwing Competition has had to be abandoned, due to it being too popular!!!:D:D:D:D
I bet we can all think of a Knob, or two, we'd like to throw.
My first two candidates would be............

Boris Johnson and Flipping Rees-Mogg!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

coming from Wimborne o_O
You do know Wimborne Minster is dead posh and 4.5 miles from our place?:eek::eek:
The house prices there are always a few K higher than others similar but out of the Wimborne post codes. (My ex and I always wanted to live there cos it's a nice little market town but within easy reach of where we used to work.)
Ferndown was originally "Ferndown, Wimborne, Dorset". So you could sorta say I live in Wimborne too!;)
If you'd known I could have gone and given it the once-over!;);)
So you've given up on the Mini cooper S?!:(:(:(
Or have you?;)
Anyway, best of luck with it!!:):):)
