Had to back fill my house water system as it had low pressure cause the tank isnt raised up, its
fine for ages then if you have the bath running & the kitchen tap running the pressure goes down
slowly. Bath panel off tis a heavy feckn thing too, join the hot & cold water feeds together then
back fill the hot pipes with cold & then open the taps one at a time.
I will need to fit a hot water pump into the thing feckn plumbers are w@nkers no isolating valves
at the tank it was the only part I didnt fit
Couple of cans of pipe freeze it will be then fit a pump & isolators. Now I need to look into pumps.pfff
Valves like these I wos on about.

Clever clogs!
But then if you needs to get the pump out and a new one back in again ow does u do it then?

But thats a central heating pump:D.
And those have been on my shopping list to get from the UK as they dont seem to do them ere, will keep looking:). But not desperate atm.

Any pump on the hot/cold domestic side would take a 15/22mm ball valve and to me are more reliable:). Still not quite sure what/where/why @kevstar needs a pump so cant comment on his post, Other than go for a mains pressured hot tank so no cold tank needed. We don't have any cold water storage in the house, due to temps except for a small expansion tank on the heating but thats not cold. So hot tanks are fed direct from mains, My parents have recently fitted the same so it looks like they may be starting to come in the UK.

As it is the way I have plumbered things if I have to change any of my pumps (3) I only actually have to drain of a few liters of water through other bits so not a big drama cos I have plenty of other isolation in the system:).

I am not a plumberer but I can do a bloody convincing impression:D.

When he said "hot water pump" I kinda assumed he meant this sort. Dunno what else you'd use. But then I is not a plumberist. As you say, if you can be assed to go all over the house turning off isolating valves, if you've got them, then the vol of watter to be drained is much less.
This is what i have to do on my CH system in the UK as all the pipes run under the first floor floor or in the walls. Once all rads etc are turned off at both valves it don't take too long, about 1 and a bit washing up bowls full. Saves on Furnox too!

Tarmac gangs are notorious for being twonks. If it had been classified as resident access only then they can’t really stop any resident carrying out their business. This includes deliveries or collections.

Whilst it would be polite to ask, it’s not a show-stopper and you do have to let the black stuff go off a bit or it makes a mess.

What delivery was it?

Well still in a job, put my notice in on Monday and recinded it on Wednesday
I could'nt bear to see grown men on their knees begging me to stay.
Main reason was my daughter said if I was not working I would be grumpy and she did not want a grumpy dad so get back to work.

They are just for central heating pumps the better valves you want are the full bore ball type like these from toolstation

the gate type have a habit of seizing up and dont shut of properly, and the leaver ball type come in blue or red and you can get them in push fit as well just make sure they are the full bore ones.
