Congrats! A real boost to the confidence.:):):)
I just cannot imagine working in a field where I would find it so fun and so interesting I'd want to go back to it once I retired.
The most enjoyable parts of my job were so small compared to the rest. and those were what I wrote my books about.
So I couldn't imagine now going back.
I did consider lecturing on it but........... never happened.

It is said (by far better men than me) that if you do something you love doing, then you never work a day of your life.
I hope that @My Old Landy has found such an occupation. :)

I know what you mean although I enjoyed all of my teaching career BUT I, too, would never consider returning after retirement. I really did not like the way education went - treating each child as a number in order to economise on expenditure. :( The personal touch in the learning experience was just obliterated.

Although we were both in the same general game, I get the impression we were at opposite ends of it. I had no management responsibilities, or very few. My main job was teaching ornery kids and specialising in helping ones at the very top get into top unis. Which, if I remember rightly, was different from what you did. I did manage to be able to use my personal touch right to the very end but I understand exactly what you mean. I don't know if you were in a grant maintained school or a local authority one. Mine at the end was grant maintained and I hated it, as did most of my colleagues. TBH education in England was so fecked by the end I was glad to get out. Dunno if it was better in Wales.:(

...I am a tad aggrieved. :mad::mad:
Roofer for the build next door has cut all of the red clay roof-tiles up on the roof with an angle grinder instead of marking up up there and cutting at ground level.
Consequently all of my window-frames & sills/cills and patio is covered in a fine rosy pink dust.
The lack of consideration is unbelievable. I would not dream of causing my neighbours such a huge clean-up task.

They are getting on my t!ts, stihl saw oot wait for the wind to blow in there direction & start cutting
up old slabs they make a right mess, battery grinder oot start cutting a bit of metal next to there motors
next day it will be a nice rusty metallic effect, I couldnt keep my mouth shut

So Sole Trader not Ltd?
You could still ask him to clean up and if he refuses get a company in to do it and send him the bill. Take a load of pics of the state of affairs before you do this, and a fillum of him cutting the tiles ont roof if it ain't too late.
If he still won't pay the bill you could take him to the Small claims track but only if the bill is over £100, which it might not be.
Depends on how you get on wiv your neighbour. If you get on well he might tell them to clean up their mess before he will pay em. But I doubt he'll be that altruistic, unless he's a really decent bloke.
Sadly typical of neighbour problems.
Maybe after all the jetwash method is the best!!!:(:(:(

You lot are too nice lol

Puppy update pic alert............
