Lovely, Sounds like a right spread was enjoyed:):).

We will often have a baked cheese starter and enjoy them all. They do a goats cheese in filo with honey & walnuts at a place we go:D:D, 1 starter is enough for 2:D.

It was fun.
Do you ever do a Camembert in one of those pot things? we love them.
These friends of ours have, through being artists and also due to the 2008 crash had to buy 3 houses in France, all in the same area. They have just bought their fourth and hopefully last!
Long story. But the one they have just bought is so bad inside apparently they have decided to employ professional cleaners to clean it out before they move in and start to do it/them up.:eek::eek:("Them" cos it is in fact two houses that they will make back into one. ) They currently have a house in the centre of town bought as a studio-cum-gallery. But it has no garden at all. It was originally commercial premises, a shop. Art just ain't selling much at the mo so they will be sort of retiring.
Best of luck to them as I wouldn't even contemplate doing a place up at their ages. They are both older than me and the place requires a ton of doing up!. But at least they will have a garden and views of the Montagne Noire.

Not sure what "pot thing" you mean but yes we have had many different baked cheeses:).

1 of our favs on a BBQ (can do in oven) is, 1 large tomato ( I mean large like 1 fills the palm of my hand hand 5-6" dia) cut off the top and remove contents, mash contents a little, then add cubes of any solid type cheese that doesn't melt we have a local 1 we use feta would work. Add spice of choice we add a tika paste and mix it all up, then restuff put the lid on wrap in foil then place on the BBQ for 20mins ish (till squishy ish when you pick it up)

We do all sorts of wierd stuff, Have also done the martos with rice mixed in :).

As far as doing up another house not a chance. If we ever sell up it will be to buy something that needs no work with 1 bedroom and a (large) garage.
We are not needing to do that adventure again:D.

Stuffed tom sounds nice! We do them and stuffed peppers also, wiv mince and herbs and stuff.
The Camembert cooker thing looks like a Camembert box only it's in ceramic, it comes with lots of recipes for things you can put over or around the Camembert. I'll find one and put it up here.

Agree totally about the doing up a house thing.
But these guys were forced into it by circs more or less out of their control. It was do this or buy a tiny place ready done up, or stay stuck where they were. Being arteests they need two studios/workshops (or one huge one as they find they don't share one well) as well as living accommodation.
Trouble is, in an economic crash, peeps stop buying art overnight and don't go back to it quickly. As far as they are concerned they aren't selling much at all. It isn't as if they are rubbish at it, quite the opposite. And they have modified the way they work to go along with the flow of modern media.

Int put anyfink int my loft. There's 2 bags up there of what eye finks is old crispmus decorations. Eye can see a plastic tree int one of them. Might see if the decorations is any good to keep after a dust down out side. Eye dun't like purrin stuff up there cuz its a big fire risk. If yer loft is ont fire tis a struggle ter purrit out iffits full of junk.

If my loft is burning, the whole house is history! I agree with it in principle though and we will not be doing it in the new place. Probably get it converted into a room as its huge!!

I too am desperately trying to get stuff done "this year" before the bad weather kicks in. I'm up the wobbler of death doing the 1st coat on the top half of the rest of that wall.
I intend to get the first coat complete today then start again for the second coat on the return-leg tomorrow. Then I can take the scaffold 1/2 down to do the middle bit.
If I don't manage it (for whatever reason) there's always next year. :)
Not got time for the F1 as I don't have Sky Sports and I will just get the highlights afterwards.
Enjoy your afternoon.:D
