Re fridges and them going bust, when I lived in France as a student I had a good mate whose dad was a fridge engineer who lived in Rothesay. He used to travel around with him lending a hand when he was working. One evening we were both at a party and the hostess's fridge turned out to be bust, just an ornery under the counter thing, so we dragged it out to have a look at it.
John, my mate, said, "there's not much we can do with this but there is one thing we can try, empty it, turn it upside down and see if it can be made to go" so we did, it didn't work, but the hostess was very grateful for our efforts and took me to bed to prove it. What fun!:D:D:D:D
(Genevieve, a child psychiatrist. Wonder if she is still alive? if so she'll be 86 or so.:eek::eek::eek:)

Funny how some things bring back memories :D:D:D Dirdy dog lol

Sounds like you've got a good-un there.
Re your bruv, i'm really sorry to hear that. don't know if osteoporosis has a genetic link I think'i've heard it has but if he is only your half-brother then you may well have missed the genetic link.
So I checked and yes it has.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17466098/#:~:text=Twin and family studies have,of fracture itself is modest.
Maybe you can find out which half of his family had it in the past?
X-rays (I had my back x-rayed) don't show much as discs, tendons etc don't really show up, MIR scanning would show it though, I think. Maybe he is looking for angles within the vertebra which could indicate abnormalities in the discs, or simply misalignment. But bone density may well show up on X-rays.

My misses had osteoporosis for years and all of a sudden it disappeared o_O:D:D

Busy wee day off for me...spoke to customer about you know who and costs  now done a plan to
sort this out.
Went to do the other rear disc on the disco once stripped I realised I had forgotten to order a bearing :oops:
Too much going on, anyhoo ordered one from dingbro & stuck it on the boat yard account and went down to give them the cash. When I was there he owner offered me a job to go and repair a rib boat in Sierra leonen lol
10 grand for 5 days work they pay all expenses. Service outboard & repair damaged tubes.
The misses said no and am I fkn mental considering the currant goings on. :(

Whilst waiting on my bearing the son of the customer from the roof job comes in so I had words
& put him straight, then he says ive got a number for you as someone passed the house and asked
who was doing the work, he wants a big old house renovated and wants a chat. :)
I will be dangling a big golden carrot to u no hoo & tell him theres a big deposit to come then I will
fook him off when the time comes. :D:D

shelve above. ooopps. I will leave the lumps until tonight an put them in my rum :D
Get yerself a new one from argos

Well he is multi-disciplined and homed in on my "dead arms", found the imbalance in the signal pathways (L/R) and needs the x-rays to look for any skeletal reasons for nerve impingement I guess.
I have never broken a bone in my body, but my half-brother (10 years younger) has raging osteoporosis and is like glass and has broken many bones.
Maybe it's my turn to go as crumbly as old cheese ;)
Yer only meed to worry if yer feet start smellin ov cheese.

I am looking at 10k probably in two drops. Then pull it and reinvest as it keeps them fresh...... or so I am told!
Each premium bond has the same chance of winning. There is the myth of newer bonds winning more often but its not true. New numbers are more popular because more peeps invest in them in recent decades. Eggspecially when yer max holding went from 30k to 40k to 50k sovs.

Morning All :D
Cool & dry here :)
Good Luck @Shimsteriom for your off-island adventure. :)
I am spared "paper-boy" duties today.
If the weather isn't too bad I may erect the wobbler of death and put some more paint on that wall.
I was hoping to get my Welder back today, but its looking like a "next week" thing now.:(
Have a great day everyone. :D
