I did this too when I fitted my new rad. Did the old valve come out cleanly? The bit where you screw the metal fing into the rad. The fing that hat the valve slide onto the other end. Eye did put some ptfe tape on it's thread. But fink eye need to put more on this time. Or some other substance which plumbers use which eye guess eggsists as yer sometimes see it ont plastic piping to assist sealing it.
Edit: as usual, should have read to the end of the thread. The bit where you screw the metal fing into the rad. The fing that hat the valve slide onto the other end. Nevva fear it has come here now, with a vengeance!Wish I could, two nights in Scunthorpe were sweltering, got back home it’s overcast but still uncomfortably hot.
Far be it from me to defend T Blair, but having been in the education game for 34 years, I don't think that the idea of going to uni for all was all his idea.Cubs, scouts, sea cadets, TA, regular army….do yer 22 or return to a decently paid job in civvy st .a …natural one time progression……unfortunately gone, kids….oops sorry …’the younger generation’ …courtesy of one T Blair seem to think that however thick they may be, they are still entitled to a ‘university education’ ie ****ing 9k a year against the wall in student loans knowing full well they will never be in a position to pay it back.

Sorry to hear your not feeling great but if it is any consolation I am not enjoying being roasted alive! I took a leaf out of your book this morning and our dog walk was done at 5am - absolute bliss, alas it was not to last as the sun was eager to get out of bed and do its worst and by 9am the roasting began.Morning. Feel crap today. Be back tomorrow.
Hope @derwendolly is having a good time!
Fahrenheit, minus 32, multiply by 5 and divide by nine. So 30.5C. . Taught to me at skool in 1965, thats the first time ever I've used it .Lovely morning, 87 already in my back garden, dont know what that is in metric ?
They either sand off or coat-over.Been putting gloss paint on the noo garage fascia boards this morning. Flies - and especially thunder flies - have decided its a good place to go paddling .
Nah, just wipe over with a damp cloth once the paint has cured. Any road up, they will be hidden by a fence when they are installed so not bothered. They either sand off or coat-over.
Good result!...that I have been to see the nice folks at the gym.
We are agreed that I am 9 months ahead on payments vs. services.
I am taking 1 or 2 months off and stopping the clock and then we will restart at a gentler pace.
I will rest and when I return I will use up my pre-paid 9 months before restarting my payments.
Works for me and they are happy too.
Could you quietly pull it up then tiptoe out of a morning?Arghhhhhh....
EVERY morning I get up first and leave her sleeping.
EVERY morning she yanks on the roller-blind chain like she is hauling up a frigging anchor and then pulls even harder when the weighted bottom of the blind hits the window catches and snags there, because clearly lifting the thing clear of the window catches is unnecessary and more force/speed is all that is required.
Today she reports that the blind will not raise fully (like its my fault).
No, because its been yanked on so hard so many times the little balls on the string have jumped a position or two over time until finally the joiner on the chain is trying to enter the mechanism before the blind is fully raised. .
FFS! Guess who has to dismantle, remount re-synch the darned thing? The Capstan hauling bint or the skipper?
Just tell her from now on that you will leave a handful of coins in an item of clothing each time she, or you, puts a load on. In time one of them will jam the drum.Arghhhhhh....
