Never mind, she'll be better soon!
Chin up, smile and wave and all that!:D:D:D

On a more pleasant note from old misery guts here, had a long video call with our son and his family in Paris, including a piano recital from the two grandchildren and the wife. One made me shed a tear as grandson played Debussy's Clair de lune, which my dad played a lot.
Then a lecture on Bitcoin and other associated cryptocurrencies, about which I know nowt but the two males know a ton, and have made a ton with.
Then the frightening fact that son has just "bet" (amount removed, but staggering) on something to do with Gamestock :)confused::confused::confused:) and what will happen on 14th of July. (Knew the beggar was rich but, come on, who does that?
If they win they'll be off to Japan to see the family over there, (if they can get in) if not then they'll be coming down to see us.
I have been advised to invest in Ethereum (??????). As the son got into Google, Musk etc on the ground floor more or less, who am I to disagree with his advice?
Anyways, haven't got loads of free cash so will not be bothering.
But will probably regret it later.
Lovely to be able to see and chat, so yes tech can sometimes be great!!!

Nite all!

...that I am back from the second day of hell in the bathroom of despair. :)
The old gal now has:
  • A new & fully working "non-leaking" toilet (whole room still smells of p155 though). I will get my wife to go clean it thoroughly at the weekend.
  • A new set of easy-on/off 1/4 turn lever-taps on her hand basin.
  • A new & working night-rate immersion heater for the DHWS.
  • A new ball valve in the CWS cistern.
  • The hole where the old shower was embedded in the wall tiled over with the pipes for the new shower protruding through.
  • All pipework for the new shower run and connected (but isolated).
Tomorrow I will fit the new shower mixer on the tiles and to the pipes that are protruding through the wall.
She's totally mystified as to all the work that has had to be done for such small changes and so is a little under-appreciative of all the hard work that has gone in (I feel).
But she's 92 this year and so she gets a free pass. ;)
A lot of work but a job well done for a lady who will probably never really understand just how lucky she is.

I'm pleased to say that it is very dull and cool 'ere - I have specially chosen today to go out to lunch with a friend and I did not want it warm and sunny 'cos my K9s stay in the car. I just hope it doesn't rain cos I leave all windows and the roof wide open as their fans whirr away in their mobile kennel.
Enjoy your day folks, after all it is Friday for all you workers.:)

Morning All :D
Currently NOT raining.
Patio destroyers allegedly coming to colour & seal the patio this afternoon (bound to rain before then or at that time). ;)
The beggars have missed two perfectly good hot & sunny days since they washed the patio, and I am a bit fed-up of having all the furniture on the lawn.
Off to the MIL's in a bit to connect up and wall mount the new shower mixer (fingers crossed those tiles hold fast).
Have a splendid day y'all. :D

Mornin all!
We are going to have to stay in for the next 3 or four working days as deliveries are expected.
Just discovered how much Wifey has spent on dog treats for the next three months. If I tell you it is well over €100!:eek::eek:. (Well we do have 3 of them).
"don't worry, I'll pay for them" she sez.
Wish she spent that on treats for me.:(
But then I don't want to lie on the floor for hours chewing a pig's ear!:D
She has remonstrated that she has recently bought me shoes and trews, and she does buy me hundreds of books. so not complaining really!
Does everyone spoil their dogs like this?
Boris and vertical jogging? Wifey has just informed me this means sex, I must be naïve, didn't know that!
Sunny all day today we hope so a day on the machines cutting back 600 sq metres of weeds. Whooppee do. But at least the place will look normal then.
Have a lovely day folks and @kevstar hope your doggy is feeling better!
