... that I m rather P'd off.
Called up there because she couldn't turn her shower off and her "hot-water" was running away ( wow a real emergency)!!!
Noithing wrong, she just was turning the on/off the wrong way or couldn't turn it. But she had managed to disconnect the shower hose and lose the washer.
Fixed that, then the wife says "can you look at mum's blocked sink?".
Totally blocked with hard fat, limescale and assorted filth.
Where's HER son? Oh, that's right, at home feeling unable to help poor little chap.
Existing plumbing was a total bodge job with poor flow and too many part/bends, joints.
Cleaned it all out but it was leaking badly when re-assembled (rubbers perished etc.).
New McAlpine 1 & 1/2 sink waste purchased & fitted.
Offers of payment (even if only for the parts) no, a thank you? No.
Silly witless, clueless, thankless old bat.:mad::mad::mad:

You certainly do have a lot going on in your action packed days Dan! I upset my MiL on day one 35 years ago so she wouldn't ask me to help even in a dire emergency ;)

Do have to watch the date on "Street view" it can sometimes be quite a long time ago!
We found that, one house from the satellite looked like the pictures on line, street view showed how it looked before the renovations :) builders stuff everywhere etc. No mention in the listing of it being overhauled recently and they usually do that as it helps to sell it.

Thankless cow.
Expect she is now off the Xmas card list.

...the joy continues.
After "discussing" with wifey where we are going top spend the first night in France as she doesn't do long journeys well if driving, we settled on Chateauroux, Kyriad.
But before booking it we had to decide where or what she was going to eat, as she gets hypertense and has all the usual problems.
I eventually found an Italian place that even put its allergens on its menu so, whoopee that looks ok, checked on tinternet, the Kyriad had 4 rooms free, rang up to book, as we need to to get a disabled peeps room, "no, sorry, fully booked", "What about the one down the road?", "No, that's fully booked too!", "WHY? ffs" Cos the Tour de France stage that day finishes in Chateauroux.

One day in the ffffing year!
So plans changed, driving further, stopping in Limoges!:(
So that took the morning!

Sunny here again! We both wish we had some summer clothes and footwear.

There is not a lot about down there as you have said. They mainly need a lot of work which is not something we are look at :)
If you go north of Blandford it may be better, but once you get onto estate land it becomes difficult to find much.
But anything near the sea, or not even that near OR the New Forest is meat and drink to the fatcats from Lunnen looking for 2nd homes.:mad: Who then boast they live in a "mud hut with a straw roof!" Sh!theads!:mad::mad:
You can tell why we love to get away for the 6 most popular months of the year.;)

...that I have decided to give my old Canon to Wifey as she would like a decent camera, while I start to use the new one.:):):)
Found a standard lens on line for £46 inc p&p from NOT the bay or grumptree, but a pukka camera exchange place.
But can I get an SD card for it?
Can I hekaslike!:mad::mad::mad:
So looks like she may need to use the not so big (!) one I keep for desperate circs until someone starts shipping these things in again.:(
Anyone know why we can't get one? SD 8Gb like a Sandisk for instance?
Tis annoying!:(

SD and not Micro-SD?
LINK
How big a card (GB) can the Camera handle? Because you can put a 32/64GB Micro-SD card in an SD adapter.
