need a new one as very noisy,
Dottirs pump was noisy. When I looked at a replacement, suppliers reviews proved they are all noisy even when brand new. When I replaced one of the flexible connections this morning I also placed a sheet of hardboard under the pump feet as they were not seated properly on the slats in the airing cupboard. That made a big difference and has reduced the noise significantly. I think the pump was able to move about and cause it to vibrate more than normal.

mines on a piece of carpet to try and reduce vibrations.. but when I say loud.. i mean you can hear it outside with the windows closed

Have you got any spare lengths of the laminate? When I had to ''re-adjust'' my laminate (took out part of a fire hearth) I luckily had a few spare lengths so it was possible to save the day - mind you, I did have to re-lay about 26 of the 36 sq. metres :rolleyes::rolleyes:.
Sadly, this is right in the middle of the room (where coffee-tables and rugs typically live) and even if I had enough spare boards I don't really have the heart to rip it all up and re-do it. :(
I shall cover it with the cleaned up (or a new) rug and have the Cat "sealed shut" with superglue. ;)

I have just bought myself a new toy (Arrives tomorrow). :D
Tis a cheap(ish) pressure washer from Screwfix (their Titan "in-house" brand).
I was trying to clean the scaffold boards that I am putting on the inside wall of my mini-barn with my old pressure washer and it was only marginally better than a bare hose on the cold rising main.
So 120 squids later I will be able to scrub them boards properly.

My neighbour has just taken delivery of a lot of building timbers that he is storing under cover at the back of his garden.
He is due to break ground on a major extension to his house this year. I asked him when he was expecting "the flood" and could I have a seat on his Ark?
He says he has bought all the wood because prices are skyrocketing and supply is getting scarce so he is trying to get a head of the game.

Very astute of him, he will be indeed be ahead of the game!

So its not just me then  Apparently im happy in my own wee world :D:D
No, you're no on your own.
We went through a rocky patch earlier on this year. :(:(:(:(
and that was with me spending most of our free time in the evenings watching the cr@p she likes while i am on here or gritting my teeth.
But at least there are some things we both like and she goes to bed early so then I can watch the stuff I've recorded. Of the two of us she teneds to be the one in her own world.
Must be catching!!!
