Fine here for the mo.
I'M going to go out and wash the big window and patio door. That'll make it rain!!!
Leg quite a bit better now!(did almost all that sentence with predictive text. Wot a larf!)

Could have some fun with the NHS trust to smoke detector and nothing else matters please email us back to you were wondering if that works best and nothing else matters please contact me.

HA HA HA! That'll teach me!!!!
More madness to follow!!!!

Just collected me new 22mm copper pipe cutter from scroo fix. Tried it out on a bit of spare pipe. What a fantastic invention I should have got one years ago. Makes a neat swarf free cut in seconds, quicker than I could change a hacksaw blade. Best £13 I shall spend this year..

I can see the floor!
Still filling the skip before the roofer turns up (hopefully) tomorrow...

Wifey's supposedly"stone" birdbaff arrived this morning. What a piece of poop!
Cleaned big windows, not quite raining yet.
Spent a lot of time trying to get THE NHS app to allow me the access you need to use it as a Covid passport thing. What a load of bollox. You have to photograph your passport then make a video of yourself saying 4 numbers. Which it then won't accept, after uploading it and allowing you to play it back.
Bunch of tossers.
Tinternet says this is common!
Fed up. Will have to go to surgery to get all sorts of other numbers, etc.
AND I think you can now get a piece of paper that proves you are fit to travel anyway. So maybe no need to have spent the money on this phone anyway. Only when you dig deeper do they tell you this. Feckers. They just don't want the bother.
Double annoyed!

The mechanism and hands were from a kit. The metal parts were all machined/welded/formed by me :) the wood face is made from floorboards!

I have run out of 3/16th steel rod. When the new lot gets here, I will make the rest ;)

I have a weight indicator from an oil rig that I would like to convert into a clock ( its a stashed away mancave project so no rush)
It is about 18inches across so will need a pretty big clock mech fitted behind.

Where did you get the kit please. I was going to just get a big "kitchen clock" and modify it. When I get round to it that is ;).

Sunny afternoon folks:).

At least it sounds like some of you UK peeps are getting some sun:).
Worked this morning till it was to hot to be outside at the back working:D. Then fired up the strimmer and went out the front and strimmed some stuff. Half way through there sounded like something rattling around in said strimmer:confused:, kept going as didn't want to stop it incase it was something I had done when looking at the starter pull cord. anyway got it done, then stopped it and the pull cord is still ok so I guess more investigation required before next use;).
Might go and try Blag our second jab tomorrow, its 2 weeks early but well within the recommended times:).

Got to get some stuff together as the lids coming off the pool this weekend, supposed to be getting cooler this week so we will see:D.

I got it from Amazon. Search for 'High Torque long shaft clock movement' and you get a choice of sizes.

He will say it's too wet to do anything when it rains. He says it's too hot to do anything when the sun shines!
He is a retiree like us only he actually gets time to himself unlike us!!!!

hummmm;)
I wish it was only painting and decorating I needed to finish the house, the garage work at the moment seems to be only if something is broke:(.
But we are now getting to the point that beyond 11am it’s too hot:), the only answer is to start at 6am:eek:. Don’t think thats gonna happen. So it will probably be back in the house type work, but hey all in a good cause. After all you don’t get a west wing by sitting on your arse:D.
