That's because the French think they have got the monopoly on weird ideas.:D
No, they are just jealous of the prices, variety and quality of the stuff we have over here. You have to live over there to see what I mean.
Give a French person a glimpse of the B&Q website and they dissolve in tears.
This is why, post Brexit, if a Brit with a second home in France wants to bring it DIY materials, after the first €300 worth they get charged not only TVA (French Vat) but also a rising percentage based on the value of the stuff brought in.
When we go over we see vans and trailers full of stuff, including wood, which is half the price, I took a pergola over and its decking and a load of other decking.
Mad but there you go!

Middle dottir still got long Covid, her company is trying to get rid of her but her sis will be representing her at the Tribunal where she will wipe the floor with them.
Wifey is fine, I'm laid up with a swollen left calf suspected DVT for which I have just had to have a Covid test and a few mins ago a blood test , D-dimer for a blood clot.https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/d-dimer-test#:~:text=A D-dimer test is,someone might have blood clots.
But apart from that I'm firing on all 12 cylinders!
How's you? ;):)

:eek::(:( Bloody hope not :(:( Any bruising on yer leg. The docs asked me if my calfs were
were always that big they thought they were swollen errr nope they are just massive from holding
up my heavy ass lol

My GP's surgery, that normally works at the speed of a depressed snail, has suddenly gone mad today.
Covid test this a.m.
Doc rang me to arrange a blood test, then carried it out herself.
Rang me with the results and wrote an emergency scrip for clot busters, :(
I picked up the scrip and have an appt tomoz for an ultra sound to look at the clot!
Wow!
It normally takes a week to even get an appt!

Big question, am I one of the very few to have a clot down to the Astrazenica vax?:(
Hmm!
Don't know if we will ever know.
Will see and keep you posted!:):):)

...Just finished the 4th coat of paint on that ceiling (a Sealing coat (on a ceiling, no less), a covering coat in matt white, and now 2 coats of the final colour (an off-white).
I'm sure it is still "patchy" :( But I am a tad "fed-up" with recoating it. I am sure the room is getting progressively smaller with each coat of paint. ;)
Sick to death of it. I am taking a day off, so there! :p

The calf is oversize 39 cms round as opposed to 37 for tother one, and it is pink unless I put it up.
But now I have got the clot-busters going I am a lot happier.
But the leg makes me limp (yes, i know!) and the knee joint won't bend as tight as it used to, plus the mild pain has extended into the thigh slightly.
I knew a bloke, in fact I introduced him to his French wife to be, and his calves were famously huge. some girls had bigger waists. Loved his rugby.
And he didn't have a heavy ass either!, He and another rugby playing mate of mine were witnesses (best men) at my French wedding.
At the reception, you'd have laughed you hat off at us singing "Swing low sweet chariot" with all the obscene movements, to the rest of the guests. Most didn't understand exactly what it was all about but they p!ssed themselves laughing. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Sorry to hear that you are a clot. ;)
We both have had 1 jab of the AZ brew and so far no issues. We are concerned that we are overdue for jab 2 and no comms from the NHS/Drs. But if its turning rational people into clots, I'm not sure I want #2. ;)

I didn't become a clot after the first one and the second one was 12 days ago, but apparently this isn't rare.
what is interesting and I have yet to ring her to check, is that second dottir had a clot too and I think it was in round about the same circs. but not saying this is deffo till i have spoken to her.
Still better a clot than a dead Covid antivaxerthicko!;););)
Oh and who sed i woz rational?;););)

At least they docs are on the ball what meds did they give you, I do like a good knee's up at a wedding
(no pun intended) I just measured my calfs 48cm o_O

Got a pic somewhere at my bro's wedding with us all in a line with my calfs bulging oot
& the others with match stick legs lol

Right.
Thanks for clarifying all this.
In your position I would write and/or email them stating the problem and giving them a week to sort it out, and that if this does not happen you will be taking the legal route.
This is the normal way of doing this sort of thing.
They cannot simply say they are not refusing, because they are continuously avoiding doing anything on it. Promises mean nothing especially if they are not kept.
If they write anything to you "Without prejudice", tell them that if they are not prepared to communicate properly with you you will ignore it.
I have had this happen before, it is just another way of trying to persuade you to basically allow them to muck you around still further. They need to know that all communications will be put into the dossier that will be brought to court should it be necessary.
It is obvious they cannot fix the problem easily and cheaply so they are fobbing you off to enable them to work on other more lucrative stuff.
Their problem, not yours.
I really do feel for you. No one likes to have to behave in this manner cos it seems kind of unreasonable. But it isn't they are being totally unreasonable and hopefully a good legal kick up the butt might get them moving.
Many young people and not so young, would say "See if they have a Facebook page and p!ss all over them on that" but you said that their profile as regards repairs was already bad, so it may not make any difference.
I don't know if I could be bothered to do that.
Best of luck with it all
Stan:):):)
One week notice to fix or else... Won't work during walrus times. Companies are finding it difficult to operate. Getting parts needed may be difficult. It would go against yer for unreasonable timescales. Cases are backlogged in the courts anorl.
