First "watered-down" coat of paint on the fresh plaster of the mini-barn ceiling & walls. :)
That should make the further coat(s) of the final colour a lot easier to get on there.
I used a paint-pad for the main areas and a brush for the corners; and my wife helped with a brush for some of the small reveals. That's all for today for me though. :)

Looking good mate!:):)

Well amazing, managed to JB weld all three broken corners of the neighbours' air filter box lid.
With a powerful torch I could still see a bit of light coming through the trickiest repair, the one with a slight split in as well, so buttered some more on today. Does anyone else find JB Weld doesn't really go off until after 48 hours? As opposed to the 6 they claim?
Weather not bad after this morning's rain.
Wifey out planting.
Feeling a bit sh!t myself, after walking up to the shop yessdi I came back all out of breath. This is increasingly becoming a problem every time I get a cold, after that issue with the weird brown concrete dust a few years back.
Today felt so cr@p that actually a did a Covid test with a kit Wifey has for some reason.
Not as easy as you would think, had to do another one as buggred up the first. Couldn't get 2 drops to go on the fing. too many bubbles then ran out of liquid.
Still, shows negative, altho I have an aching chest, difficulty getting air into my lungs, sweating, and knackered if I do anything at all. (Temp 37.3)
Sucks as it is her burfday.:(:(:(:(:(
Anyway, have a better day than I'm having, peeps!
Maybe some Champagne and other stuff will anaesthetise it tonight!:):):)

Sounds perfectly dreadful! I hope you make a speedy recovery. :)

Thanks! It's coming along OK. Still lots to do inside & out.
I am not looking forward to preparing all the scaffold-boards for the wood-wall :(
The external Barn Paint was a surprise.. @ £69.95 per 5L tin
A "surprise"? Almost as bad as French paint prices!:eek::eek:
Still 5 litres is a good whack, £13 odd a litre don't sound too bad if you say it quick!
Did you use a special sealant on the plasterboard first? Or was that the point of the diluted white stuff?
I've got some special pink stuff I use, but have been known to use dilute PVA. This cos I always seem to buy not quite enough paint or else much too much.:(:(:(
(Others will come on now and stone me for that!);););)

Diluted watery PVA as a sizing for bare plasterboard is perfectly acceptable in my book and I have used this in the past.
As the final colour of the ceiling/walls will be a shade of white I opted to dilute a cheaper vinyl-matt white paint instead. I will do 2 coats of this, then hopefully just a single coat of the required colour.
Re the black barn paint... it comes highly recommended as THE PAINT for this purpose. It is an acrylic paint and will cover wood, plastic and metal and is allegedly long-lasting and good looking.
We shall see. :)

Cracking job;);) ive got another for you to do once yer finished yours :D

Remember that light fitting I fixed?
Been searching for one like it on tinternet, finally found one, looks like the glass teardrops are handblown, possibly by Murano. Possibly a Paolo Venini, or a good knock-off/
Prices are eyewatering!
So glad I fixed it!
Let's face it, the bit I mended was goldplated steel, so I don't suppose Dunelms do that sort of caper!
Completely miss-described on the Auction Website.
