@DanClarke .
Tell the lad he's lucky to have a bonus at all!
We got buggrall bonus an no raise :oops:
Morning All :D
ANOTHER lovely Sunny Day here. :)
I am working on my place today (for a change). I shall see how best to fit the new window-cills and have at it.
Tom will go to my son's and run a whacker-plate around the patio area, peg it out for size & gradient etc.
I am looking forward to my "day off" :)
My son has already started on the "my bonus wasn't as big as I expected" spiel (aka the start of yet another approach for money from me to finance his hopes & dreams). :(
Have a lovely day. :D
Play him the Eagles "Get over it" ion a non-stop tape loop.

and if anyone has never heard it, it is the most brilliant antidote to snowflakes ever.
(a student of mine gave me a copy of the disc! He really "got" me!!)
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

.... I have cut all my window-cills/sills to size and to fit in the mini-barn. :)
I will take them off one by one and fit them on top of battens to the underlying brickwork over the weekend. :)
The underlying building is not square to the rear of the house(!) so I have adopted a "Do your best and caulk/gapfill the rest" approach. :p
At the end of the day the mini-Barn is a glorified "Shed" on the back of the house not the Sistine chapel. :D
Looking really nice!:D:D:D:D

Personally, I would stroll there and meander / dawdle back :D
Course, a brisk walk will give you a thirst..:)
Absolutely nothing like having a decent pub within staggering distance.
Only lived in a place like that twice and one was in Lunnen.
Well no, acksherlly, when I lved in Bath, all the town centre pubs were in staggering distance as long as we didn't mind staggering back a long way up Landsdowne hill, and then a bit further.
Was a lot fitter then!

Well, the Grockle spray didn't work!
We went to Ringwood this affo and set off back at about 4:50. The traffic to the A31 was backed up to where we turned out of a car park in the centre of toon, so we turned the other way and headed straight in towards Bournemuff. The oncoming traffic was at a standstill all the way through the town, we got home via Hurn airport etc. No delays at all! Hee Hee!:D:D:D:D:D
Local knowledge, nothin like it. ;);)
The A31 usually gets like this on a normal Friday but this was about the worse we have ever seen it.
Stoopid bugres!:rolleyes::rolleyes:;);)

Afternoon folks:)

Well had a good day and finished off the little bits on the roof to the summer kitchen, still need a few more screws for the ridge caps but its secure and watertight so good enough for now:).
So we have been evaluating lots of little jobs over the last few weeks and it seems a mini digger is on the cards;). fing is they don't like hiring just the diggers here, and with the nature of the jobs a couple of hrs each but not all in 1 go, so is not cheap. SOooooo we are looking to buy a new toy:D:D:D:D going to look at 1 tomorrow :) plan is then we can use at our leisure for a couple of years, then resell we the guy that is helpiing has said he will buy it in a couple of years as he does groundwork so we may even get some rental from him during that time;).

So excited new toy:D:D:D:D.

Yer can dig the ole for me new garage foundation. :)

Why do others make arrangements for me to travel to them when they know my free time is limited. :mad:
They don’t speak/text for months and expect me to be nice....

Happy bank holiday my forum family I am happy with you lot, as normal you don’t expect much just nice words and hugs sent through the magic interweb
