ive just been reading about decking and apparently unless double sided grooved the grooves go downwards so joints with framework breath, though its all grooves up from what ive seen
You'll nearly always find there are grooves both sides, just different styles. That's what I've always found, and like Kev i always go for the narrower style that goes right across the board.
Also helps, a bit, to stop them warping and splitting.;):):):)

Not happy today.
Heard my bruv is going to lose half his bowel and his bladder too.:(:(:(:(
He said "I'll have two bags for life!"
He's got a better sense of humour than I have.:(:(:(
Very worried about him.:(:(:(:(
Then heard a French friend of mine had a massively bad reaction to the ornery flu vaccine, "sévère inflammation généralisée des artères (arteries)" related to Horton's disease, i.e cluster headaches. Treatment is heavy and long term, Cortisone for a year FFS.
all followed by a severe renal attack culminating in passing a 7mm kidney stone.
He's very chary of having the Covid vaccine, now.
Apart from that I am still plumberin, balancing rads all over the house.
At least the kitchen one gets hot now. ;)
Sorry to be such a downer folks.
Have a good evening folks:):):)

I can't 'like' that for obvious reasons. I hope things go well for both your brother and friend.

Late to the party today, hellow everyone.
Plaster-boarding today, just a few SqM (4.5 x 4.2) but all very awkward angles etc.
Nearly done, just a few more boards to fit. The vaulted ceiling was a bit of a PIG to do.

Me temp measuring fing was broke'd when eye gorrit. 1 of 3 sensors was stuck ont 20% humidity. Temp reading was ok. Intially talked through the chat fing and they gave the usual IT fing of switching it oft them back ont after 2 hours. That wunt make a difference. After that they ignored several emails over the last 2 months. Gave em benefit if doubt un walrus time, but was startin ter fink of revenge.

Anyways eye was wonderin if they still sell em as eye bort one of the last 3. They does. So eye connected through the chat fing again ont their web site. Result. Gorra rma number and email oft em ter return for eggschange. Posted this evening.

My neighbour spoke to me today and said that 2 nights ago they confronted an intruder at the rear of their property who was wearing a head-torch.
They seemed to be checking out sheds and the like and the rear of properties. They ran off.
If I catch them can I fire my catapult at them?
Only if yer fill oat a risk assessment.

1 point for a hit. 2 for hit and squeal. 3 for the nuts and 5 if they pop.

Yes they recommend the grooves facing down so water/moss ect doesnt settle but that's what they
wanted & paid for. They were advised so no warranty with this one. There is a slight angle for the
water to run off. No one seams to fit this type of decking with the grooves down.

Here goes the 10k post....
Thank you all for allowing me to (hopefully) be a family member on this pleasant forum.(and on this thread)
So far I have done the following.
Been out and performed my duties for LZR.
Met a few of yourselves and had a nice day in the country side.
Gone to a few shows & met some more of you.
Swapped parts & gave parts away.

all the time you have kept me sane on my days away from home.
I feel I speak to you all more than my normal family as you don’t judge and are always willing to help(even poke some humour)

Followed people’s lives as they build projects and homes for their families

Seen the happy & sad times. Each time you all have words of wisdom & love in vast quantities.

now for my last bit...
I’m just glad I don’t drive a hairdressers mobile glam wagon where the doors fall off
Or the badge on the bonnet does not say j33p

(Now I can go and comment on some other post & prepare for the next Mile stone)
