The answer is both Yes & No.
YES, they came to look at it, YES, they could see that my masking off of the one area with a plastic sheet and insulation tape had stopped all ingress of water, so we are all agreed where the leak is occurring.
NO, they didn't fix it because in order to get any sealants to take it needs a dry day; but YES they will be back to deal with it as soon as.
Sorry for the Vicky Pollard Yes, but, NO answer, but that's how it really is. :)

Tis a step int right direction. At least they could see yer temp fix to prove where the problem starts.

Me mdf went a bit damp and wobberly int me garage. We fink it collected damp. Eye was going to use it to cover a big double glazed window for betterer security but never got round to putting it up. Does we fink wiks ply wood will collect damp anorl? Finking of buying some of that instead.
Any untreated and/or unpainted wood will i think, except maybe some hardwood like wot they makes boats out of.

Marine grade ply will be on or any treated wivs anti-wobble preservative ...
