Although mine may have an oil leak as it's dropped some ont garage floor. Wiped it clean to see if more drops but left a mark so I can measure where it's dropped from. Will have a look later. :(

That could be because all the oil has already felled out

Normally this would be the only explanation for this freakish behaviour by a Landy. However in this case its not. The oil is the only job I can do on mine without ****ing it up, so it gets done A LOT :D

Although to be totally honest I did manage to miss the container with all 5 oils when I changed them. Made a lovely mess on the workshop floor :D

Kicking the bucket out the way when draining the oil is always good fun. I don't like to do it every time as I don't want to spoil meself. :)

Hi Suew,
Great to see you here again xx :D:D
Take no notice of Hippypottymouth, he is in a combiantion of denial and delusion, and imagines that Gaylanderers and Ewoks are in the same class as us Tratterers!:eek:
I don't thionk he's been taking his meds regularly enough! o_O
Morning all ;);)

So pleased to see you are finally admitting to the mechanical defects of freelanders, allowing for the fact they have not been made nearly as long as older, better landrovers! :)

Think I own the only Defender in history that doesn't have any oil leaks and doesn't leave oily mess on my drive :D

Maybe, but my Ninety doesnt leak a drop, anywhere, either! :) Maybe a little damp round the diff noses, but nothing that reaches the floor!

I think a bit of clarification is needed ere. I int saying Freelanders are perfect. They do on the odd occasion have faults which we fix. The problems I've had have been worsened by the dealer which was unfortunate. End result a bigger fix required.

The biggest problem is Freelanders and their owners get a lot of abuse which is unfair. We don't deserve it. Nor does our Freelanders. Bit like when the Evoke came out and all peeps were interested in was coming up with a paraphrase name to use to abuse it. Same will happen for the new Velar given time.

Just found some more pic's of vehicles I've driven at LR experience days. Think I posted the FL2 one before. I forgot to take a pic of the D4 so that's missing.

I bring good news. It's not leaking. Not sure what it was. It looked like oil at the time and wiped up like oil, but when I checked after the floor wasn't oily. It were dry to touch and clean. :)

Mine once got an advisory at MOT for an oil leak, I was gutted.

It wasn't, it was diesel from one of the injectors running over the oil I spilled when I topped it up :D

Yep, its the meds, and the fact that because he isn't a tratterer means he cant have a pig :D

How are you anyway, long time since we met up with Neil and Zip.

That seems like forever ago!!
Got run over in a car park in early January, so I'm currently suffering from a broken wrist and ankle, and I'm not allowed to drive!
My Landy is currently SORN'ed and stored safely away, and getting welll looked after, so as soon as I can I'll be back down in your part of the world quaffing a flagon or two!
Hope you are doing OK?

Whilst I am not a massive fan of the Freelander, it is worthy of a place in the Pantheon of Land Rovers - it proved its mettle on the Camel Trophy and also in the G4 challenges.....alongside, the Classic Range Rover, 110's, Disco's and the L322.

The Ejoke on the other hand, this is not and should never be called a Range Rover......

The point of Range Rover is to be the pinnacle, the top dog, the best of the best......why bring out a second best alternative? Why cheapen the Range Rover brand? The point of Range Rover is to be the ultimate, the Evoque is just a second best alternative and that is not what Range Rover is all about.

I must calm down, I must calm down - I am no longer a Range Rover owner, I now own a Tratter, breathe....breathe......calm....clam....relax......

Good arternoon all
An I'd just like to say fanks to Marmaladeduck, BB, MHM, V8 and everyone else for your kind worms! :D
They meaned a lot and I got a lickle bit choked up till the doorbell ringed and she had to let go!
It just goes to show that us Landroverers are generally a canny bunch of missfits who will help anyone out!:cool:
Cheers to each and ever one of you, anf I mean that from the very bottom of my pint glass! :p:p

I'll put up that until a better name comes along I'll call them Velux .
