If you need me to turn something to fix yours, I am happy to help :)

Sadly I don't have that facility..... yet ;)
Very kind. :D As a lathe NOOB, I am currently feeling my way with this. I can put it back together (as was) with all the horrible noise etc. and try turning something up.
I think I will put a longer belt on and introduce a tensioner. This will mean it may have trouble in reverse direction, but reverse is not often used and I can cross that bridge.......

Hope this helps with the cause for you ;)

Morning all. :D
Hot news just in.........
My DIL has Covid-19.
Her Sister has it too. she was the first to get the +ve result last week, but guess what? .... they all mingled at Xmas :p
We didn't mingle. :) They now want us to do some shopping for them as the whole house is locked in.
I suggested they were asking the wrong generation, and maybe he should call his brother and ask for help and leave us "at-risk" old-uns out of it.
But I know that won't happen.
Other than that it is a cold, dry day here. :)
Have a splendid day. :D

I think this situation is a perfect example that the younger generation are simply unable to comprehend the situation of a pandemic. Stick to your guns, it is time they began to think and solve difficulties for themselves, it is only by doing this that they are going to learn. :)
