corrected that for you, at least as it is in my household watching the wife.........
Mine went off once in the middle of the night. A poke with a big stick stopped it going off. Then it started again. Gave it a huge whack with the big stick. Knocked it off the ceiling. It never went off again
A pleasant day spent with the grandkids, xmas lunch cooked by dottir, several cans emptied. Now gonna relax at home with a glass or three of port and read me giles annual.
