It depends on which provider you go with and which package you want.
Compared to the prices over the water they are very expensive but that can be said of a lot of things over here.
Also, the websites from the different suppliers always seem to make choosing and comparing packages quite difficult because of hidden extras

I'm not entirely sure how much my new package is going to cost until I get the next bill but it will be cheaper.
I was paying £58 / month for a telephone line and 50Mbit broadband connection so I reckon my new bill will be about £20-£25 a month with no detrimental affect on browsing.
A flipping sight cheaper than BT in our house!

I went there once. Well twice actually, on the way to and from Jura. Twas a long time ago but I recall the ferry from the mainland docked on Islay and then had to cross the water to Jura in a landing craft. The tide runs so fast that the craft was pointing at 45 degrees to the direction we were travelling . Bit like the Woolwich ferry, but a much smaller scale and faster tide between the islands.

Evening all we got rained off today, went to the unit sorted out the store/tools/tided up
& filled the trailer with junk.
Next stop the tip then had a single hamburger & whacked it on a roll followed by a king rib.
Back to the unit removed my roof rack, tent & awnings, from the D1 the lad I bought it off welded the bolts to the rack brackets :mad::mad::mad: (what a fkn nob) a small tack would had been enough but to dog sh!te welds on the lot of them also a weld on to the threads of the roof tent I had to chop the lot off. Bastid. Still all off now. :)

Finally given in and bought myself an Android tablet.
My phone has been relegated to phone type duties! Apart from wotsup.. you can only have that on one device at a time which is stupid,! There's the web version but that takes an age to load.
It's only a cheap tablet, but by golly the screen is almost gray-scale! The colours are all washed out

Still a landing craft type of thing to Jura. The tide runs about 6-7 knots in either direction. What had you done to be banished to Jura? It’s nearly as bad as the IOM:rolleyes:
