Morin all....
Nippy here first thing, sun is coming through looks like its going to be another lovely day. :)
Chopped & re-welded my gate I should finish it today, had a late start as I had to find a water
leak on the neighbours car, turned out a corroded metal water pipe temp fix with jb weld so
she can drive it to the garage 30 miles away.

Midges here last night were horrendous  First frost should see them off :D:D
Il check the midge machine should be a billion of them in it.

Off to put the kettle on & sit outside.
Happy holiday peeps :)

Please, please, PLEASE tell us about your midge machine, as wifey suffers real bad with mossy bites!:):):):):):):):):)

Cold here in the Frog mountains and wifey making the sort of "I'm chilly, it's chilly" noises that mean I'll have to get the log burner going soon. Only trouble, don't think I have any dry kindlin, although loads of logs cut and indoors. But maybe I have. Can't remember as did it near on 12 month ago.
Immersion playing up too. Water in tank getting cooler as we have had three days with no sun, so may need to sort that out. Power to it Ok, tis the thermostat/switch which is orl rusty. (Condensation that happens in the cupboard during the winter, must be to do with 300 litres of water in tank only getting up to 10 degrees when we are away.
Still, they have our freezer in, down in Carcassonne! My phone call of Saturday must have got them going, for once. Debating whether to drag a mate with me to help load it, though hoping either I can do it on me own or someone there will lend a hand!
Will get it after lunch.
Still, weather supposed to be improving back up to 27 degrees after today!
Have a good day all!:):):):):)

It bit like livin ont oil rig this ere whales

Nope nothing like an oil rig trust me;)

Except the scenery is much better.:) Living here makes you appreciate the real meaning of peace and happiness.:)

We are with you on that, our “here” is not the same Country as yours, but the peace and happiness is the same:).

Does it still do it when in neutral, coasting ? Or only under load ?

Had all four brakes apart, taint them, bugger.
It's in the drive train for sure, particularly under engine braking, disappears if coasting. Must be on a circular part as there a 'shing, shing, shing', that slows as the truck slows. Sounds external and not inside a gearbox or simlar, at least to me..

Back plate of the brakes, I know you said you took them apart, but did you notice any witness marks ?

Had a day doing all those little jobs ...

Cleaned the headlights on the Kia, changed the wiper blades and sprayed the arms ...

Put a new bulb in the bathroom recessed mirror light ...

Changed the front door lock handle coz the washer bearing doofer had given up the ghost ...

Had all the pads out and all fine, stone guards have loads of clearance, nothing untoward at all, more's the pity. Am convinced it ain't brakes. If I gun it in second and release the throttle it's real loud and I remember going up a steepish hill on saturday an it was coming on then too.. Think its gettin worse anorl
