Important information in time of crisis:
It is perfectly safe to telephone your friends and family during the present pandemic. Scientists working at the Old Polecat Research facility in Devon have analysed COVID19 and are now in a position to reassure the public on this important matter.
In the days of analogue communication, telephone and radio signals were composed of waveforms and it was possible for advanced viruses (and some small bacteria, it should be noted) to travel on the continuous waves from one transducer to another. Scientists refer to this method as "surfing". Modern digital communication converts the analogue signal into binary patterns, thus interrupting the waveforms and preventing "surfing" viruses from travelling from one device to another. Please continue to speak to your loved ones without fear of infection thanks to your modern digital devices.
