Unless it was a limited edition - it won't be worth more than anyother P38 of similar year and spec. even if it is an Autobiograhy.

The draw to it would be the custom colours and interior - if it floats peoples boat then it is worth it to them - but as a vehicle, I would say the price it went for (£2600) is a reasonable price, as long as the history and documents stack up.

Don't pay a premium just because it is an Autobiography model - that doesn't make it 'special' or 'limited edition' it just means the original order was made by someone who had specific taste!

That kind of answers it all Ant. I was drawn because of the colour and special vehicles tag, but was wondering if I just paying a premium for something not so 'special'.

The cost of these new then some one spent extra getting it painted that colour and having the leather done to match......

Having money doesn't mean taste!
Very true but I guess it's all subjective. Each to their own and all that. Funny how this has turned from 'do you think it's worth the money, as a vehicle" to " personal opinion on the colour ". Got to love this site from objective to subjective in 0.07 seconds. :D

It wouldn't do if we were all the same :)
Thanks Ant for the info on the special vehicles bit.
As that seems to be the only comment with any actual information of use, I'm going to leave you all to play "who can say they hate it the most". Comments from owners of NDB vehicles, will be permanently awarded Nil points ;)

It's ehh... different!!

Like the blue bits!!

not too keen on the silver though ;)

As for the price, nah i don't think its worth anymore that whats already been bid!

I wonder what the reserve is??

I am going to go against the grain, I 'quite' like it.....I say 'quite' as at first look I was look 'oh that's different, I like that' then I looked again and was like 'really' and now I look a third time and I am like - I could live with it, but I think it may stand out too much.....

And then a forth look am I am still 'its OK'.

I like it and would have been tempted too but a bit too expensive
The seller appeared trustworthy IMO
I would have gone for it if I didnt have mine

I like it for the the picnic tables. I would like them in mine, but when they are fetching over a grand on eBay... I don't want them that much. Maybe the rear TVs too, but as with the picnic tables, I imagine they'd get more use as dust holders than anything else as I rarely have rear seat passengers. But I still would like them all the same... within reason.

Some of the sellers seem to think that P38 is a handbuilt 1932 Bugatti or something, especially for the trim. I enquired about some walnut to upgrade mine and was given a price of over £1000.00 ,1 year later he still has them I would think if most of us had that sort of money lying around to spend on trim,it would be another p38 to play with
