Blimey, thats pretty severe lol, not a nice situation to be in on your own for sure !!

At least you got it out eventually tho, rather than losing to the river & joining those other machines eh :D

Well the old girl has gone! Sold to a guy here in Spain, if he has half the luck I had with the car he will be a very happy man for years to come.

Oh BTW, I just arrived in Spain with a MANUAL Landcruiser 80,:D

The fact that the local authorities knew this could happen and allowed the notices to be removed p*ssed me right off! And being stuck in sunny Spain on a Sunday and during siesta was no joke!

So I fancy some nice easy expedition stuff so need a bigger car and 'Tanque' has to go to make way for the replacement. Probably an early Range Rover or a Landcruiser?

Surely if you're after an expedition vehicle you want a 110 or 130? ;)

Why??? take the back seats out of a Disco and you've got the perfect base for an expedition vehicle. and if it's a 5door getting at gear is a fook of a lot easier than it is in a 110.

I wanted a larger vehicle than the Discovery along with something a little more comfortable, the Range Rover/Landcruiser both fitted the bill.
