Is there a way to prime the pump on a 2000 v8? Ran out petrol. Did try to start it after, was hoping run enough to get me back in my parking space, but wouldnt. Put gallon and bit in, and wont fire. I know i need more fuel in it, but hoped would have got it running.

a gallon should be enough to start the engine
maybe dirt etc at the bottom of the tank blocked the pump?

How long did you crank it over for? In my experience it can take a while to fire up after you run completely dry.
