Hello, im brand new to the site, and am also in the market for a used 110 4-5 door (as a daily driver). A lot of the 110 station wagons ive looked at have worn out v8 motors with arount 150,000 miles on them. Would a 2.5TD with the same mileage be better than the v8? If I buy a v8, i would probably rebuild the motor. Open to suggestions, thanks.

I guess its my low budget, I figure If i rebuild the motor I'll save alot of money.

A turbo diesel that's regularly serviced should see out double that mileage and should be far more economical to run. What's your budget?

My budget is below 17xxx. Its not as much as I would like, but a 110 is my dream. Thanks for the input.

You're in Oregon yes? Surely that's going to restrict you choices somewhat? I run a V8, Love it though it hates me, old school 2.5 diesels are SO slow. V8's relatively cheap to rebuild - go for a V8................. WELCOME BY THE WAY, GOOD LUCK
