Being a more modern and complex engine the Northstar will be more difficult to hook up but I think it would be worth it, it would also honour the heritage of the car, the Rover V8 being a GM (Buick) engine originally.

I know where ther is a merc 580sl going for scrap if you want the engine, condition unknown but got a pic of the car..

any more info?

i cant find feck all on the 580??

ie engine size power and torque??

leaning towards the 383..as its got an a727 on its arse..so should bolt up to lt230??
