I noticed my V5 says I have 6 seats, but I can only find 5 of them!
Any idea where the other one has gone?!!
 
Crazy! The other seat can only be the boot floor then, for when the gnome goes fishing in that well known freelander tool/safe box reservoir!

im sure you'll shoot me down if im wrong, but ive always regarded Heavy Oil as a less refined heavier and dirtier type of fuel used in larger low revving engines; like BIG marine engines etc. I know that supertankers which dont run on Gas turbines run on Heavy oil.
So why does it say this on the V5? mine is also Heavy oil, but my bigger and now dead Saab 3.0V6 TiD said diesel??

Also, are the rear toolboxes of Pigs known for leaking/becoming swimming pools for legomen? Ive not long scrapped an absolute dog of a freelander; and purchased another really good one; and neither have any signs of leakage.

Mine wS slightly damp until I fitted the plastic membrane in the rear door, now it's completely dry.

What you're referring to is black oil, usually three different grades, light medium and heavy. Light is used for shipping as it can be burned without pre heating, medium and heavy are used in industry, including power stations, and must be pre heated before burning.
 
Last time I watched mighty ships on quest,shipping was using heavy tar like oil which needed heating?
 
Has anyone had experience of running a Td4 on bio fuel or cooking oil or anything cheaper than diesel?
Going to Scotland soon & could do with saving a bit in fuel costs for the journey.
Not going to run it on cheap stuff permanently.

Quite a few threads on here about it. Some say yes, alot say no. Main problem is its too thick for the pumps.

Ahhh. So more info. The compression ignition engine was developed by Rudolph diesel. Designed to run on any heavy oil... Vegetable, rape, or what we now know as diesel when we buy it. From the pump...... Therefore the engine is a diesel but it runs on heavy oil!

Class over.
