Carbs on an '88?
Can't help with the cooler question but as to plugs I've always used Champions & never had a problem.
Others may have different recommendations, especially if you are running LPG.

I think it must have been changed in its life as the log book says EFI. Tried to get it corrected by DVLA but they weren't very helpful. Said I had to get a letter from land rover to confirm it which i cant see how that would work. It had an LPG kit on when I got it which I would like to keep if I can get it working. The whole car is a mess so a lot of work ahead of me.
It has NGK BP5ES plugs in at the moment.

The 3.5efi I bought prior to my present one had a documented history of misfiring, resulting in plug & plug-lead renewals in an attempt to cure the problem.
When I checked out the part nos. from the garage invoices I discovered that all the plugs renewed were NGK's. At the first service I had Champions installed & never had a misfire during three years of my ownership.

Thanks. For the replies. NGK wise I think they recommend BP5ES and BP6ES for the fuel injection. I'll see if I can find the champion equivalents. Also need to work with LPG.
