Been considering it for a while and found a Defender 90 for sale close by and couldn't resist any longer.
Looks better than the Ford Kuga that was on the drive!

Unfortunately far from mint but going through the bodges at the moment, dodgy wiring, cheap repaint, but new what i was getting myself into and
is a 300tdi, which i have a spare engine in the garage for a rebuild later! 5 year plan to get her onto a galvanized chassis!

It's best to have a plan and that sounds like a good one to me.
And, as you've been a member since 2010, it's about time you started a rebuild thread ;)

Do you mind saying how much you paid for such a fine specimen?
Wow, you'll have the Landy rebuilt in no time:)

Ha Ha, yep Kuga was mine until my wife realized i wasn't get rid of the Disco! So been looking for a good base 90 to start!
Yeh the other old bangers are Porsche 356's We restore with early 911's.
Paid enough for the 90 after knocking it down a lot on price, but a good starting base as a lot of money put into it with replacement parts,
just a shame some monkeys worked on it putting it together so i'm slowly going through it correcting dodgy wiring etc.
Just bought security for it with tracker etc to keep me busy this weekend and to fix the leak on the roof through the aerial!
