I have a wobble when i am doing 50mph- 55mph.

Any ideas? the wheels are clean but I have only just bought the vehicle and am slowly trying to correct the years of abuse!

cheers james

Possible wheel bearings or play in swivel pins. Very difficult to diagnose when it only happens at speed. Get a friend to cling on underneath your landy while you drive it at the required speed and see if he can spot anything.

Check your panhard rod bolts/bushes (big rod on the front axle that goes from the chassis to the axle to stop lateral movement).

If you can rock it about nip up the bolts and see if that locks it all up, if the bolts are tight then the bush may have perished badly enough to allow movement - replace the bush.

Also check you radius arms (big hockey stick looking things that go from the axle just inboard from the hub to the chassis) are they loose or rocking - if so same treatment as above.

Check the trail arm and a-frame too (back axle).
