No, the buggered vcu is a freelander spares unit. Think they put chutney in them? According to sticker on it, it's lasted a full 13 months on the car! Replacement is a bell engineering unit. Bearings are gkn. All moot cos they are in the shed!
Did I mention I've fitted the synergy? It's good fun in 2wd!

Just wondered if anyone wants an 'as new' Haynes manual for the Freelander ? I was going to put it on eBay but would prefer to sell it to a good home, like one of this Forums users ?
