Hello people's
My disco driver door, it's always been a bit dodgy needing a key to open from the outside I guess the solenoid is knackered but could always open from inside, always took two pulls on the in cab leaver but door always opened.
Today it just won't have it and can only open from outside, I know it's a common problem but what's the quickest fix to be able to open from inside again? Not worried about unlocking from key fob but will obviously fix if it's the only way to fix this problem.

Oaky doaky will do asap
I went and ran out of fuel earlier, got some filled up started disco and door latch started working again, I will replace the actuator though.
Thanks

As for the pulling of the door handle twice, you'll probably find if you pull it hard once, the door opens. You need to adjust the rod length inside the door which controls the outside handle.

Test, adjust, test, adjust. DO NOT put the card back on until you are happy with the operation, or you won't open the door and will have to ruin the door card to access it.

Thank you when I actually get a few hours spare I will do that, my first job is to clean and reseal the xyz switch or stay in limp mode

Unfortunately, there are no external adjustments which can be applied to the door lock assemblies in the Disco 2. There is a very small (and I mean miniscule) amount of adjustment on the striker plate, and some small adjustment on the bowden cable between the internal handle and the lock assembly, but that's all. Generally it's fair to say that there are no adjustments.
The only way I know of to correct locking problems on the D2 is to replace the lock assembly.
I know it's for the rear door, but the general instructions still apply to the driver's door:-

Be careful to remove completely all the little linkages and put them in your pocket as you go. I can promise from personal experience that if you drop one inside the door, you're extremely unlikely to ever find it again.
