I have tried both remotes.. the keys.. changed the batteries.. but my car remains locked.. no response at all.

Any ideas??

Sounds like a dead car battery to me if your getting no response at all. The door won't unlock with the key though?? Would have thought that should still work but mines a p38 so it may have changed on the L322

you need to put jump leads on the starter terminals which will give you enough power to open the door. get under the car

update
i have managed to get into the car.. but the key will not turn in the ignition.. at all

Does this still sound like a dead battery???

(i cannot actually check the battery for another 24hrs+ due to snow/parking)

only 18 months old...

you need a very strong battery for a range. dont expect it to be less than around £70 at a guess. there is a battery that recommended for a range but i cannot remeber the number for it. try a search on this forum it only listed few weeks ago im sure.
