As with all motors they have problems. Some of us on here have RR's that are more that 10 years old and high mileage pushed off road and used daily as run abouts. If you were to push any other car this hard I'm sure it would be well f@cked and on the scrap heap by now. They are what they are P38's do have issues as i have found out in the past 12 months of owning my first RR. Water pump went first week, blown stereo amp, cold air on passenger side blowers, bonnet pull snapped.
But apart from that i cant complain its 10years old and still looks good and drives like a dream at 107000 miles.

I always reckon to have one niggling fault at any one time, but have found that left alone they resolve themselves (i.e intermittent fault on SRS for a couple of months disappeared, to be replaced by book sign on HEVAC during summer due to sticky blend motors, disappeared when the weather got cold, now have a drivers door which is permanently locked and am hoping it will start working again if I ignore). So maybe it's best to always have a current minor problem.
Otherwise problems related to age, just replaced battery, had to have replace suspension air bags after 180,000km.
Having said all this even my wife says this is the most comfortable car we've had, and I ran Volvo estates supplied by work for about 15 years.

You know, you are totally right. I have had the HEVAC alarm - cue loud groan and thoughts of offloading onto dealer - plus an intermittend rear boot look, which I simply cannot trace and even had an ABS fault one day. All of them are currently absent, but I'm sure they will return in force when I least need it....
