To my knowledge, the last surviving crane version of the Hymac 580c, the manufacturer of the worlds 1st 360 degree excavator. Its in the last chance salon - off to the scrapyard unless someone comes forward to rescue it. Beautiful 6 cylinder Ford engine, excellent tracks which will fit 580c excavators. @ £150 a ton its scrap value is £1800.00. Anyone brave enough?

Pictures, loads on here daft enough.

and where is it ?
I only recently discovered that not everyone has a digger & a crane!! Ha, ha. At only 12 tons, (I've seen mini-diggers weighing 13 ), its a baby, figuratively speaking & will go onto most slide deck lorries. I omitted to include the word 'hydraulic' as the worlds first 360 degrees. Apologies to those enthusiasts of mechanical drag link excavators that I have seen at the Dorset Steam rally. Hymac (British engineering) machines restored by 'Hymac parts & service' are often shipped around the world still despite Hymac having long since departed decades ago, as a vintage, but still very competent machine with zero electriconnery, all valves & nuts & bolts - the Landover of the plant world. Basic. With both sections of its Gib in place I've effortlessly lifted 20 foot lorry bodies over large polytunnels & a reluctant David Brown 950 tractor with seized wheels lifted like a toy. A true gentle giant to use & starts on the first touch of the key on a normal car battery! Good considering no hot start & that its a 5 Ltr 6cyl. Its presently sitting in my yard where I live in southwest Cornwall. I've a little problem with pics. Me!

I’m sure someone will take it on as a cheeky little project!

My wife used to sell excavators for JCB. If I suggested this as a project, she’d go mad…
