Morning guys,
I want to change the leads on my 4.6 Thor as a few of them were arcing where the leads fit over the plugs. Never having bought a HT lead in life I was wondering if all HT leads are basically the same? I have read about Magnecor leads but not sure how much of this is hype.

Many thanks.

My suggestion is that you use genuine LR ones, they fit, last a reasonable time and do the job.many aftermarket ones are total cr-p,and even the magnecor ones seem to suffer the caps falling off.

I have a set of Magnecor's on my P38 coupled with halo spark plugs seem OK. You pay your money and make your choice.

Any idea who the OEM is for the Land Rover HT leads is? Island are showing a set of Lucas leads for 20 odd quid but Rimmers have a Land Rover set for 60. I wonder if they are just the same leads:confused:

Never had cap fall off my Magnecors. They're guaranteed for life too. I won't say I felt any dramatic improvements after fitting them but its just peace of mind, they do their job and will (possibly) never fail.

No idea - I just get them from my local dealer, less than 60 plus vat from memory.
There is an indy near me who always fit Magnecors as part of doing an LPG install,I often end up seeing them for tuning...... And then servicing, they seem very fragile wheras the originals put up with the heat better.
