The system fitted to the car according to the information centre does not have "telephone fitted" or have bluetooth available (its the touch screen model)..are there solutions other than a Parrot or third party option?
Any help appreciated

It should connect by Bluetooth to your mobile. Our car is a 2006 model Td6, which is slightly earlier than yours, and that connects manually by bluetooth. Apparently, if you update the software to the post 2007 version, it will then connect automatically and also transfer your address book to the screen.

You should have the Nokia Bluetooth system it will be located in the left hand compartment in the boot, early versions are known for failing or not connecting to modern phones. Earlier RR models suffered with a water leak that dripped water onto all the entertainment units, not sure if this was fixed by 2006 but well worth checking electrical connections for corrosion/wet connectors. Google Range Rover Nokia Bluetooth loads of info out there about it. You may have the wiring in place to retro fit the genuine Bluetooth
