Hi Everyone,
Hows this for a Fathers Day Pressie? I have just bought a 1970 Series
IIa 88" with a tilt. I've been hankering after a Landy for a number of
years but this was a complete impulse purchase. We actually went to
go see the guys Moggie Traveller! Its seems in pretty good order and solid
underneath and drove really well. I paid 1150 for it which I hope it
about right! As a completly new (unprepared) series owner what should
i read / do first? I'm completly at sea!

Any advice guys?

Thanks

Matt "now thinking what have I done?!"

Dunno about what to read first, but what to do? Get in it and drive it until something falls off. Ya lucky bastard all I got was a smile as apposed a face like a slapped arse.

WELL LOOKS OK :) The second photo with the mitsui in the background well ask them about it. I bet they envy you like hell  . The thing is ask yourself will that Mitsui last as long as your landy , also it has no pedigree:D I think you'll be happy for years to come and just watch the faces of people when you drive past them and know your got a huge piece of British motoring history under your behind......;)

ps. There's always plenty of help on here from others if you get stuck..

Eh! ...Theres not much plastic on a series
Oohhh! Little dig at the gaylander maybe;)
Not like the Disco?????????:D

May be worth carrying out a major service. Do this yourself (you must now do evrything yourself) even if you have to buy the tools it will still work out cheaper and you'll have the tools forever.

Next take it for a weekend away with at least 500 miles of driving. You'll soon get to know it. Warts and all
