Hi all,

Been lurking a while so finally decided to join up. Hi all...

My Shogun finally died last month. I have a 7 week old baby so had to be practical and sensible with my new car choice. I'm picking up a '51 plate Defender 90 at the weekend ;)

I justified this to SWMBO in many various ways. It's an investment...blah blah blah, an iconic car blah blah blah. With regards to practicalities - yes, it's the most practical car to have (in the event of a zombie apocalypse)!

Speak to you all gradually i'm sure,

Nothing sensible or reliable about any Land Rover product, they are not cars, they are a hobby
:welcome2:

I think we are all waiting for that apocalypse. Welcome.

Well if it's not zombies, it will be robots. So we have all bases covered.

Just confirmed, going to pick her up on Sunday morning!

Cheap TK103 GPS tracker been testing for a few days (I know they aren't great, but every little helps). Hawk central locking kit waiting on my desk too. Pedal plate and disklok to be ordered at weekend (not that i'm paranoid or anything).

Work light next month and maybe a re-upholster sometime in the summer as seats a bit ragged.

:)

Excited.

Picked her up yesterday! Probably the most uncomfortable and loudest journey i've ever taken - but I did it all with a smile :)

Hi huffhuff!

Like yourself, I also used some of those excuses to be able to get one, "Practicality" and "Investment".... ;)

Welcome! :D
