A search brings up an error msg and the Haynes manual doesn't seem to mention it.

How do I remove the intireor rear view mirror?

I guess I just grab it and give it a firm tug. As there doesn't seem to be any other way. However I don't want to break anything.

A good tug will get it off.
Its spring mounted.

This is the traditional ball joint type?
I find grabbing hold of the side farthest from you and pulling, it should roll off the ball fairly easily
