My drivers side windscreen wiper arm has come flying off a couple of times recently. I pop it back on, and it feels pretty firm, but then flies off again when I next use it. How can I tighten it to stop this? Its a bit of a pain having to pull over at the side of the road and hunt for a windscreen wiper in the dark on a grass verge haha.

Loctite thread lock buddy :)

On the spline?

Yup....you'll probably find the wiper arm is worn or the spindle is worn you can buy the spindles
too... think the part no is stc987 I put lock tight on my mates landy 2 years ago cause he is a tight ar$e lol

I can remember years ago putting a wrap of the silver foil from a fag packet round the spline to pack it out a bit. Worked for years.

Check the splines on the spindle and the arm are still in good condition, you'll probably find one or the other is worn. Don't loctite it as you'll find if you ever need to change the arm or spindle at any point you ain't getting it back off easily. They're not expensive to replace if need be

Loctite the arm onto the splined adaptor is OK, because you can still remove the adaptor from the spindle.
Sticking the adaptor onto the spindle is a no no!

But personally, as you say, I would just get new arms and adaptors, a complete set of Britpart arms is probably about 20 quid.
