Hi, I have set about getting the blower working on my 1988 110.
I have just ordered a new dash control switch, the original had been disconnected and a dodgy sitch fitted that was wired wrong to start with. I have checked that power is going to the motor via the purple wire, and at the cab end I have power showing at both green wires that go onto the control switch. the black is an earth, or so the wiring diagram shows.
Can I put a "link" somewere at the fan end to bypass power directly onto the motor to see if it will spin? I am hoping not to have to remove the heater fan just yet incase it is actually in working order. I am suspecting the carbon brushes will be worn out though. I did an enquiry about replacement brushes but they are not a service part you can obtain from landy dealers. I have had an email from a carbon brush supplier though who reckons he has brushes that are exactly the same and will do the job.
If there is a known test I can do to see if the fan will run by using a link wire,
Thanks
