I like his HEVAC compressor clutch relay "hack" to prolong the life of the HEVAC module...but I'll probably never get around to it.

Take it out, clean, make new spring from thick wire round a screwdriver of suitable size, grease up when installing so it cannot collect water.
Remember to use new one of these: RANGE ROVER P38 Tailgate Release Button Seal (ALR5252) | eBay
Hope you mean the handle as the spring diameter is about 28mm from memory. Piano wire from a model airplane shop makes a good spring.
Mozz, the contacts in the connector to the button corrode, hard to see, even harder to clean but cured all the random door locking/unlocking and boot failing to open problems on mine.

Sure - unless one have a very extreme screw driver:D

I made quite a few when making mine, kicking about in "spares" dep.:)

+1

I figured you could put any momentary push button in there. Something like a foot switch (non-latching) epoxied in. But I found a real one still in its box brand new for £15 so I didn't bother...

Did you jump the car with both leads on the battery or with the negative on the engine? Try the body to engine earth strap/s are connected/tight for starters. Check the cables are tight on the starter motor. That should keep you busy for 10 mins;)

if its clicking from the starter it could be that. It used to happen on my audi, if you jumped it would go. until it died lol
