Hi all,

I currently have the radiator and fan assembly off my P38 and I have been considering moving the Oil radiator which is stupidly placed really low on the nearside. Thinking I might be able to tuck it into the space behind the strut behind the EAS system.

Any one got any experience of doing this?

Is it case 'simply' crimping the flexible oil hoses where they come out of the engine - cutting the metal pipes, moving the whole thing - and reconnecting with a longer set of hoses?

All advice welcome.

I though I remembered you doing something with the cooler in order to fit fog lights? Memory must be getting worse.:(

You only need to move it to fit fog lamps if it is a later one with a fan. As the fogs will not physically fit. Up to 1999 there is no fan so all that is needed to fit fogs is to vent the bumper cover. That is what was done to mine. I rather think some want to move it to stop it getting clogged with mud and gunge on their off roads play days. :D:D;)

He could always use very long pipes and roof mount the cooler rad.;):D

Ive seen quite few HD front bumper replacements fitted with silly sized winches and the auto cooler sticks out of the corner. Mere pebble would destroy it like that
