New to land rovers ish but not new to buying vehicle parts!
What’s the best way of finding replacement parts for my Landy?

i need a full brake pipe set hard and flexible for my 1999 ex-mod TD5 but it has abs!

a lot are mentioning vin from this range to that range, is it alphabetical?
And is it the same for special vehicles?
The beginning of mine is;

Yes I can find parts no problem, it’s making sure they fit that’s the problem
It’s an early td5 with abs, how does it vins on these vehicles work for example see pic

just incase people think I’m asking a stupid question, I’ve rebuilt a few classic minis from a bare shell, I’ve rebuilt many race motorbikes from a bare frame - I’ve had a few land rovers but never embarked on a proper project like this with a defender

I just ring up Craddock, and tell em what I want. They send it. No problem.

The definitive answer is get a LR parts catalogue that will also show the VIN and market variations, new ones now are reprints, same and show two items per page, the original and genuine LR catalogue was a ring bind job which U may be able to find s/h on eBay, reprints are bound.
My RR catalogue is ring bound therefore one item per page, the discos reprint item is bound.

Genuine parts catalogue and workshop manual are worth getting in my opinion, although with parts catalogue some numbers have now been superseded these days, but still the correct part is what U want, so what you go with patten, OEM or Genuine is up to U.
