hi just fitted engine and have got no forward or reverse drive,engine failed suddenly broken con rod, now replaced but no drive.makes grating noise when shifted from drive throughto park,when need a step step guide to help diagnose correct fault without replacing it all please

Did you line the drive dog on the torque convertor up correctly?
