Only pretty recently, i'm 67. The docs tell me it is totally normal, it explains why my trousers aren't too short.!Wow so you shrunk 1,5 inches?? What age did you notice it?
I had bad posture, never stood up straight spent too long bending down to around midget level I guessHow did you get the half inch back what kind of stretching?
Hmm it does make me laugh about about how different some blokes are built, a mate of mine is 6"2 and has long body short legs, used to drive me insane when he'd drive my service pickup, i'm the opposite normal body freaky legsThe problem with modifying seats and such to make room for taller drivers is that some drivers are tall cos they have a long body and some are tall cos they have long legs. Im over 6ft with a long torso and average length legs so leg room isnt my problem its head room in some modern cars. In my series the small windscreen is a problem cos I need to crouch to see traffic lights etc.

I read up about that after seeing your comment, my dad is 60 and is still my height, so in a few years he will start shrinking a little I guess?Only pretty recently, i'm 67. The docs tell me it is totally normal, it explains why my trousers aren't too short.!
Discs in the back shrink with age.
Age related shrinking is caused more by lifestyle than anything else. People who were taught and practiced good posture tend to suffer shrinkage less. Also, hydration plays a big part, e.g those who drink plenty of water throughout their lives dont shrink as much. Smoking causes dehydration of the intervertebal disks so life long smokers who drink little and had labour intensive jobs are most likely to suffer.I read up about that after seeing your comment, my dad is 60 and is still my height, so in a few years he will start shrinking a little I guess?
