"grockel" is my preferred term when mentioning the dodgey totnesians, what part of dartmoor are you navigating?

I live on the high moorland now, but have lived in many places in the county (except North Devon, that’s not even Devon is it..)

I went to have a peep at a Disco down in Bovey recently, a right dog that wallowed like a pig in corners and dripped oil everywhere... wasnt a mate of yours, was it? :D

I was up at Haytor and Hound Tor at the weekend, stunning weather but a real honey pot area stuffed full of people. I used to climb at Hound and Haytor 20 years ago, you would barely see anyone else climbing... you can’t move for bleddy harness-clad gits swinging their karabiners around these days ...:D

No definitely not mine! Haha, funnily enough I was up hound tor on Sunday, took the kids out to go climb the rocks and as you've said, absolutely full of people climbing with all the proper gear etc, where's the fun in that!

Ooo, what time were you there?

Between 11:30 and about 14:00ish, weather was beautiful

You probably arrived after me, I parked at Hound around 11 and was back around 4. There used to be a great burger / tea van at that car park, it was called The Hound of the Basketmeals, but sadly it’s gone now.

Me and big ears went over to Hound Tor in the last big flumo of snow too.

There was a van, but it wasn’t ‘The Hound of The Basketmeals’ was it? It used to be run by lovely man called Alan Smith, it was like a big van not a trailer... his home made burgers were great!

Not as far as the island of Cornish people, but close enough to Dartmoor to enjoy it most days :D

Up there again this weekend for some night time pics!

Albaston, with a sick 110 pickup, going to attempt to sort the wiring gremlins out very soon.

That’s very nearly in Gunnislake. The lanes around Horsebridge were getting a battering today with the bridge being knackered. It’s turned into right old rat run.

Yep, Gunnislake is a smally stagger to my place tucked in the valley below Albaston.
The damp down here isnt good for the old chassis though.

He made a mess of that bridge..begs the question how he managed to do it

Local FB info would allege that his BMW was giving it large to overtake an OAP. He then overlooked in the corner entering the bridge and twátted it good and proper.

But that’s just idle gossip
