OK, this may sound like a stupid question, but honestly, its not!!

Just fitted me snorkel, sealed everything pretty well, or so i thought.

tested it before i put the mushroom on, the engine speed drops, and the air intake pipes crush, but it must be just sucking in a little air from somewhere.

I would think that if its sealed enough to crush the pipes, and air will take the path of least resistance, there isn't anything big enough to pull water/let water in

or do i need to seal it some more???

I seal with tiger seal and a large jubilee clamp if you've done that then covered the end with tiger to seal again you should be fine, just make sure the end at the turbo is ok as the old clamp may be loose etc

Mine was and at £4 for a proper nice one its a safer bet than potential engine failure

engine running, clipboard over the snork, then pipes crush (as engine starts to dies, but doesn't quite) pipes fine under normal conditions.
might get some of those decent pipe clamps and sack off the jubilee clips.

had another look, its one of the joints on the pipe that goes from the wing to the airbox (can hear a little hiss of air from it) will shlack (it is a word now!! :D ) with some seal over the outer ends of the joints, see what happens

I've sealed mine up pretty much everywhere with tigerseal and it doesn't completely cut out when covering the snorkel, but I've been in water over the bonnet and never had a problem with water getting into the intake. The fact that it doesn't stall tells me that air must be getting in somewhere, but I've not had a problem so far.

is air box completley sealed they arent as std

went round the obvious places, in and out, the rubber bit on the bottom (mine was completely split) now has a coke bottle cap siliconed in there, and ran a bead of silicone round the the joint where the lid goes on, and a bit round the wing nut on the end after re-attaching it.

Have you sealed the fanny valve on the air box?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the above post about putting a coke bottle cap in there.
