Yea, i would have to source parts in spain. Probably not the best. I have heard them running, they sound pretty sweet:The six used more of the same parts as the 4 cylinder on which it was based , eg pistons, injectors etc.
There were loads of them in spain , so that would be a source of supply , Spanish forum ?
Looks like a six to me - look carefully at the injector pipes and the layout of the glow plugs.
I stand corrected, good observation, never seen one of them before, real life or pics!Looks like a six to me - look carefully at the injector pipes and the layout of the glow plugs.
I'm guessing so, yes.I stand corrected, good observation, never seen one of them before, real life or pics!
Guessing that is basically one and a half 2.5 nas?
Cast a block, and crank, they can use almost all the other bits without expensive retooling, Quite common automotive practice, Triumph T150 Trident was basically one and a half 500cc Daytona engines.I'm guessing so, yes.
Triumph stag V's were 2 dolomite engine blocks welded together, apparently...Cast a block, and crank, they can use almost all the other bits without expensive retooling, Quite common automotive practice, Triumph T150 Trident was basically one and a half 500cc Daytona engines.
Think the Triumph four and six cylinder car engines were similar.Triumph stag V's were 2 dolomite engine blocks welded together, apparently...
that's what Jezza said.Think the Triumph four and six cylinder car engines were similar.
Not actually welded together, but more of the same castings,
If it was a series 3 109, it would have a land rover 109 body anyway!Yea, i'm thinking of just stealin the engine out of it and putting it in a series III or something. Do you guys think i would be able to drop a land rover 109 body on it?
No,the Dolomite's engine was the Stag's V8 with one bank missing.Had a dolly with tuned up motor and you could rev the nuts off it no problemTriumph stag V's were 2 dolomite engine blocks welded together, apparently...
